Management education has a vital role to play in today's competitive business environment. Business schools, especially in a developing nation like ours, have an important task of imparting value and skill-based education to students so that they could positively contribute to the growth of the economy. I am happy to note that Institute of Management Studies is not only delivering quality Management education at highly affordable fee, over the past several years, but has also been playing the role of a catalyst to the young minds-in their pursuance for a career, as well as, in the direction of imbibing social and ethical values in them. Many of our past alumni are well placed in leading companies in India and abroad. I am sure that in the years to come the Institute will earn much greater name in the field of management education. I find it pertinent to quote here the poem of Rabindranath Tagore: “Where the mind is without fear and the head is held high; Where knowledge is free; Where the world has not been broken up into fragments by narrow domestic walls; Where words come out from the depth of truth; Where tireless striving stretches its arm towards perfection; Where the clear stream of reasons has not lost its way into the dreary desert sand of dead habit; Where the mind is led forward by thee into ever-widening thought and action- - Into that heaven of freedom my Father, let my country awake.”

with all good wishes
