IMS was established in 2002 to prepare a new generation of prospective managers who could skillfully accomplish the needs and requirements of modern-day business organizations. Within a short span of time, the Institute has set a milestone in the field of management education. The Institute has competent faculty members and a strong resource base to impart quality management education in four major disciplines, viz., Marketing, Finance, HR and IT. The Institute has a well equipped computer laboratory with Internet & Wi-Fi facility. The Library too has been upgraded and refurbished, with sufficient number of reference books, magazines and journals. The Institute has been continuously striving to upgrade its academic standards with periodic improvements in the pedagogy and teaching methodologies. The MBA programme offered at our Institute has been well-designed to groom and motivate the young students for better career opportunities. INSTITUTE OF MANAGEMENT STUDIES

The Institute of Management Studies (IMS) was established in the year 2002 as a constituent unit of Ranchi University for imparting high quality education in the field of business management. The Institute has since then made rapid strides and has today emerged as one of the better known management institutes in the region. An ideal institution is driven by the success of its students and IMS too, has been harnessing all its resources for the all-round development of students. The innovative range of academic, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities coupled with investments in infrastructure & technologies has helped the students to better face the challenges of the competitive business world. The contribution of the Institute in the field of management education has been widely recognised by the students, professional associations, industry, society and all concerned.

ABOUT RANCHI UNIVERSITY

Ranchi University was established in 1960. It is headquartered in Ranchi, the capital city of Jharkhand. The University is a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) and Recognized by University Grants Commission (UGC). There are a total of 14 constituent colleges and 61 affiliated colleges under Ranchi University. The colleges offer courses in Medical, Engineering, Management, Science, Arts, Commerce, Humanities, Nursing, Education and Law streams. The University has a total intake of around 1,50,000 students from its constituent & affiliated colleges.
